JAMMU, Mar 11: A motor cyclist died after he hit his two wheeler to a tree while on his way from Jhandi village to Samyal in Hiranagar area of Kathua district yesterday evening.
According to reports Parvesh Kumar, son of Dharam Paul of Hiranagar had gone to attend a religious function on the occasion of Maha Shivratri yesterday to a temple in Jhandi village where from he went to Samyal for collection of flowers. But while on his way he hit the motor cycle to a tree and received a grievous head injury.
He was rushed to Hiranagar hospital by his relatives where from doctors shifted him to District Hospital Kathua.
As the condition of Parvesh deteriorated further the family decided to shift him to Amritsar. But he succumbed to his injuries while on the way.
The Hiranagar Police has registered a case and the body was handed over to the family after autopsy.
