JAMMU, Mar 11: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) in an emergency meeting here today expressed grave concern over an agency photograph published in various news papers today naming Hari Parbat hill lock of Srinagar Kashmir as Koh-i-Maran.
The meeting while objecting the naming of the hill lock as Koh-i-Maran said it is an attempt to change the face of Kashmir under the influence and pressure of the communal and separatist forces.
Kashmiri Pandits and people of India will not allow any attempt to thrust Talibanize culture in Kashmir and every step to change history and culture of ancestors of Pandits will be thwarted, KP Sabha chief K K Khosa who chaired the meeting said.
He said that Government should take cogent steps to stop such attempts of some people who are hell bent to convert Kashmiriat into Islamiat with the clandestine of intolerant forces across the border. Khosa said the Pandits will not allow to change the name of holiest religious places whose every stone is holy to them.
Khosa said the news agency should tender the apology. He urged the Government not to fall into a prey to secessionist forces who want to Talibanize Kashmir. He warned that Pandits will fight these forces globally if State Government failed to do its duty.
The meeting urged the Government to take immediate steps in passage of Shrines and Temples Bill.
