BJMM discusses problems faced by women

JAMMU, Mar 11: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) was held under the presidentship of its State president, Priya Sethi at Bahu Fort, here today, to gear up Mahila Morcha and discuss others issues and problems faced by the women in the society.
Addressing the women, Priya Sethi said that the present Government had failed on all fronts and there was widespread resentment and anger among the masses.
She said that the women constitute about fifty per cent of the nation’s population and have been working in every field. They have proven their ability and capacity in society but still it is very unfortunate that the male dominated society does not accept them as equal and discriminate. She said that although there has been claims of educating and treating women equal but on ground still the position is different.
Anuradha Charak, State general secretary of the Morcha said that the BJP has announced to gherao the Assembly on March 14 against the failure of the State Government on all fronts. She appealed all women to mobilize them in the programme to “expose” the coalition regime.
