SAMBA, Sept 26: The residents of the village Manohar Gopala has demanded the authorities to immediately remove 66KV electric line which is passing over their houses and shift the same to other place.
The villagers said that the 66 KV electric line passing through the village has become death threat for them as it passes over many village houses and shops. “If the electric line breaks down, it will fell down in many houses and claim many innocent lives,” they alleged.
Local residents Surjeet Singh, Udhey Bir Singh, Surinder Singh, Gurmeet Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Kulbir Singh said that 66 KV electric line passes over their houses and shops and the height of the wires is also very low due to which there is a possibility of a big accident.
People demanded DC Samba Rohit Khajuria to remove pillars of the electric line from the houses and straighten the curved poles as all their requests for the same have fallen into deaf ears of the PDD authorities.
