JAMMU, Mar 11: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today directed the Government to ensure that whatever information provided in the House in response to the questions raised by members is authentic, correct and to the point.
The direction came soon after the Question Hour when a member complained that the reply he got to his question was not based on facts.
Responding to the complaint, Mr. Gul asked the Government to enquire into it and punish the officers or officials who have provided wrong information to the House. He also directed that for future it must be ensured that whatever information or details are furnished on the floor of the House, it must be correct, authentic and based on facts.
