JeM terrorist nabbed from truck near Ambala Cant rly station

AMBALA, Sep 28: A suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist, wanted by the Jammu and Kashmir police, was arrested by the police from a truck near Ambala Cantonment railway station on Saturday.

The J&K police was chasing Mohammed Ismail, who is linked with the Jaish-e-Mohammed and a member of the terrorist outfit, after receiving information that he may sneak into Delhi via Punjab and Haryana.

Ismail hid himself in an apple-laden truck, on way to Delhi. Punjab Police chased him after getting information from the agencies and Haryana Police was taken into confidence.

The suspected terrorist was nabbed near Ambala Cantt railway station after raising barricades. The picture would be clear after Jammu Police and security forces start interrogation.

Jammu Police was reportedly on the lookout for the JeM terrorist. Jammu Police had alerted the Punjab Police, but the suspected terrorist succeeded to enter Haryana, after giving slip to the police from both states.

Since they did not succeed to arrest him, Ambala Police was informed. Following this, the Army and CIA Staff of Ambala erected barricades near Ambala Cantt station and nabbed him.

Although no arms or ammunition was recovered from the suspect, however, the Ambala Police has handed him over to Jammu Police.

Ambala SP Abhishek Jorwal said that he received a call from Jammu and the Police erected barricading. He said the suspected terrorist was coming in truck full of apples and he was to reach Delhi. The terrorist was handed over to the Jammu Police, he added. (UNI)
