JAMMU, Sept 28: Chief Judicial Magistrate Samba Ajay Gupta has awarded one year imprisonment to a truck driver namely Sat Pal whose rash and negligent driving had resulted into death of a person in 2009.
“The court has found the accused guilty for negligent and rash driving under Section 279 and 304-A of RPC and is hence convicted with a simple imprisonment of one year and a fine of Rs 1000,” CJM said, adding “in case of default of payment, the accused shall undergo a simple imprisonment of one month”.
