11 injured in road accidents

RAJOURI, Sept 29: At least eleven persons were injured in two separate road accidents in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that seven persons were injured when a Tempo Traveler bearing registration No. JK02AX/ 3437 met with an accident near Narian in Nowshera area on Jammu- Rajouri highway this afternoon.
All the injured were removed to Sub District Hospital, Nowshera from where three seriously injured were referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu. They were identified as Deep Kumar, son of Thoru Ram from Akhnoor; Ravi Kumar, son of Munshi Ram from Akhnoor and Rashid Ahmed, son of Mohd Razzak, resident of Delhi. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, four new police recruits were injured when an Alto car rolled down into a gorge near Dera Gali on Rajouri- Bafliaz road this afternoon. The mishap took place when all the four cops were on way to Manigam Police Training Institute in Kashmir from Rajouri.
Their Alto (K-10) car No. JK02CA/0004 went out of control at Drang and fell into a gorge. Thannamandi Police party rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Thannamandi and then to Rajouri hospital. They were identified as Ganesh Dass, son of Vakil Chand from Akhnoor; Manzoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Shopian; Sunil Kumar, son of Dev Raj from Sarot (Ghrota) and Mohd Arif, son of Majid Hussain from Gujjar Nagar, Jammu. The police has registered a case in this connection.
