JAMMU, Sept 29: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today said that the Union Government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure to provide best amenities to the people of the State.
Gupta was addressing a gathering of people after handing over the allotment letters to the 40 beneficiaries of PMAY-Housing for all (Urban) at Channi. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLC, Baldev Billawaria, chairman Health & Sanitation Committee, JMC, Sobat Ali, Councillor, Surat Charak.
The programme was organised by Raj Kumar, Councillor JMC, Ward No. 51. Gupta said, PM Modi has set a target of providing shelter to all under the scheme by 2022 and we have to make the scheme successful. He called upon every BJP worker to identify the needy persons for availing the benefit.
He said after October, 31, 2019, we will witness a new era of development in both the union territories as there will be direct supervision of the development projects with zero possibility of funds diversion & 100 percent utilization having no chance of corruption.
Referring to the distribution of allotment letters to 40 beneficiaries, Gupta said due to sincere efforts of Raj Kumar councillor from the Ward, people have been able to get the benefit under various schemes of Government.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa in his address said that Kavinder Gupta has set an example of development in every sector in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
He said Kavinder Gupta has been successful in delivering and reaching out to masses. He said Councillor, Raj Kumar has proven his mandate by reaching out to public and continuing with the developmental works.
