JAMMU, Sept 29: Kanachak police today arrested one person with banned drugs.
According to a police official, the accused identified as Vikram Singh Manhas alias Vicky son of Suram Singh, resident of Shakti Nagar, was travelling in a bus from Jammu to Akhnoor when on naka checking at Sua No 1, he suddenly deboard the bus seeing the police party.
He said the police party at naka point intercepted him on suspicion and when the bag he was carrying was searched, 810 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon T Plus and 300 tablets of Nitrovet-10 were recovered from it. He said the banned drugs recovered from the man were seized immediately and he was arrested on the spot.
The official said that a case under relevant Sections of NDPS Act has been registered at police station Kanachak and further investigations started.
