BJP holds meeting of state office bearers, senior leaders

JAMMU, Sept 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting of its State office bearers, Morcha presidents, former ministers, district presidents, former MLAs, MLCs and other senior leaders at the party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here today.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina accompanied by Member of Parliament Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency and BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashol Kaul chaired the meeting and chalked out strategy for the forthcoming elections of Block Development elections and other matters.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, said that the party has decided to conduct “Gandhi Sankalp Yatra” on Pan India level to give tributes to the great leader of the modern times, Mohan Dass Karam Chand Gandhi on his 150th birthday. He put emphasis on the four principles of Gandhi Ji namely “Swadeshi”, “Khadi”, “Swablamban (Self-relieance)” and “Swacchta (Cleanliness)”. He said that through various tasks we are granted the mission to involve every single youth in the work of “nation building”.
He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, principles of Gandhi Ji have found their way to the UN Assembly. He also asked the house to celebrate the birthday of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji on October 17 and birthday of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Ji on October 24 with full fervour and gaiety.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, laid emphasis on the “Foot March” to be conducted on October 2 in the memory of Gandhi Ji and his contributions for the nation. He asked all the leaders to ensure that there is no use of “Single Use Plastics (SUP)” in the foot march. He also said that we must promote the principles of Gandhi Ji during the foot march. He asked all leaders to ensure that they complete 150 kms foot march during the whole programme undertaken.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, discussed, all the organizational programmes in detail, to be conducted by the party in coming months. He put special emphasis on the “Fit India” call given by PM Modi and asked all the party leaders to put their full efforts in it. He talked of “Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan”, and laid emphasis on fighting social evils like drug addiction. He asked all leaders to lay emphasis on the promotion of local products remembering “The Swadeshi Movement”, developing Indian nationalism and improving economic conditions in India. He also asked all to concentrate on strategy of upcoming BDC elections.
