SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Army today recovered body of another militant from Ganderbal woods where a fierce encounter took place last week.
The body was found in Trunkhul area of the district four days after the encounter took place. The security forces were searching for the rest members of the group who had escaped from the encounter site on Saturday. The militant is believed to have been injured in the encounter and later succumbed.
One militant was killed in the encounter at Trunkhul between Naranag and Gangbal in Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir on Saturday morning after Army spotted a group of militants against whom they had launched an operation.
And the normal life remained disrupted across the Kashmir Valley for the 58th consecutive day, with markets closed and public transport off the roads. The attendance in Government offices remained thin.
The movement of private vehicles was more today in the Civil Line areas of the city but in other areas it has failed to pick up.
The schools are open across the Valley but the students failed to turn up as parents are unwilling to send their wards due to security concerns. However, schools are providing study material to the students so as to compensate the losses they suffered.
The mobile telephone services and Internet including broadband services continue to remain suspended since August 5.
