JAMMU, Oct 2: The State employees engaged under SRO 202 of 2015 have urged upon the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to revoke this discriminatory SRO issued by the previous PDP-BJP Govt in the State.
In a communiqué to the Union Home Ministry, ‘All J&K SRO 202 Employees’ body has stated that they were being victimized by this most discriminatory policy adopted on June 29, 2015 by the then policy makers in the J&K State. As per this policy, recruitment to different posts was supposed to be completed on fast track basis in three months but it took more than three years to complete the process of recruitment in most of the cases. In fact, the policy failed to meet the intended objectives and affected the educated youth.
The employees despite working on the substantive posts born on establishment of different Govt Departments and created long back in 1980, these people are being given only basic pay and are deprived of the allowances like- DA, HRA, CCA and even the annual increments for five years. This will have detrimental impact on the service and pension career of these people engaged under this SRO. The State Administration is already in a fix to do away with this SRO. The long five year probation has jeopardized the career of many employees.
They demanded that Govt must adopt the `equal work, equal pay policy’ and provide justice to all the employees working under this controversial SRO in J&K. They sought intervention of Union Home Ministry into the matter.
