JAMMU, Oct 3: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) along with other Troupes staged musical play ‘Maa Sheranwali’ at Government Higher Secondary School, Katra.
The play showcases the complete story of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji and was a special attraction at the ongoing Navratra Festival.
M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS has specially designed, written, produced and directed the play which was inaugurated by Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Senior Staff of ROB including Ram Kishan, Administrative Officer; Vijay Matto, FPA; Neeraj Verma, Durga Parkash, Ram Lal, Virender Kapadia, Ritu Sharma and Sunita Atri were also present on the occasion while Ram Lal, senior artiste conducted the programme.
The programme started with Rajasthani Folk Dance ‘Bhawai’ and Assam Folk Dance ‘Bihu’ and this was followed by the musical play ‘Maa Sheranwali’.
The play fully utilized the traditional folk of Jammu region.
