JAMMU, Oct 4: Adbi Kunj organized a literary meet today to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Bhagat Singh.
A large number of literary figures along with many other members of civil society participated in the event. The meet was presided over by president Adbi Kunj Sham Talib.
Sham Talib paid rich tributes to the national heroes and also threw detailed light on the various aspects of their lives and remarkable services of the country in their fields. The poets who participated in the meet include Aarash Dalmotra, MS Kamra, Mukesh Singh Saraji, Girdhari Lal Rahi, Uttam Singh Rahi, Rahul Arman, Romesh Anand Sagar and Jaitendar Bassan.
Later, the members of the Adbi Kunj also attended a mushaira of Dogri Sanstha at Karan Nagar. The mushaira was presided over by Prof Lalit Magotra, president Dogri Sanstha in which 15 poets recited their creations on the topic of “Duggar-Bachao- Dogri Bolo-Dogri-Pado-Padao”.
