Youth conference organized at Ramakrishna Mission

JAMMU, Oct 5: The Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu organized a youth conference today.
A large number of youth gathered in the Ashram auditorium and attended the conference, which began with ‘Swadesh Mantra Path’ (selection from Swami Vivekananda’s writings) in chorus.
On the occasion, Sachin Gupta, Deputy SP, Traffic Police, Jammu (South Zone) delivered a speech on “Traffic Discipline: An essential aspect of human life”. In his speech the police officer described how people can reduce the number of accidents following traffic disciplines.
“Every year 12 lakh people are killed in accidents in India; 5 lakh alone in J&K State whereas the total population of J&K is 1.3 crore,” the traffic police officer said and advised the youth to complete all the documents regarding the vehicles and use helmets and seat belts while riding/driving.
It was followed by a question-answer session during which Sachin Gupta took queries of the youth and satisfied them with his answers.
Later, Arun Prabhat, general secretary of BJYM of J&K, delivered a talk to explain the political history of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Earlier, Swami Nirantara-nanda, secretary of the Mission, presented welcome address and briefed about the activities of the Ramakrishna Mission.
The conference concluded with vote of thanks presented by Kuldeep Khajuria, a devotee of the Ashram.
