UDHAMPUR, Oct 6: J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today highlighted the demands of the ReT teachers in its monthly meeting held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma, State chief coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and district president Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by a large number of teachers from all the 11 zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the issue of release of salary of recently regularized ReTs and un-regularized ReTs of the State as these teachers are without salary for last 7 months and unable to fulfill basic needs of their family members.
He urged the Finance Department as well as Education Department to come to the rescue of these teachers and bring them out of financial crunch. He also demanded the release of salary of the NPS teachers who are without salary for last 3 to 4 months and suffering badly.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria while speaking demanded conversion of newly regularized ReTs to Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III and regularization of left out ReTs whereas Lekh Raj Parihar appealed the Director School Education Jammu to convert left out graduates to Teachers Grade II who have degrees from recognized universities outside the State and also those against whom adverse CID reports are received due to minor FIRs.
