Delegation of Ophthalmic technicians meets Director Health

JAMMU, Oct 9: A deputation of All J&K Ophthalmic Technician Employees Association Jammu Division met Director Health Services Jammu Dr Samir Mattoo and submitted a charter of to the Government through him.
Led by Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation and R K Kotwal, Association president, the delegation had threadbare discussion on the demands of Ophthalmic Cadre.
The main demands discussed with Dr Samir Mattoo were creation of new posts of Chief Ophthalmic Technician in all erstwhile districts of Jammu Division, creation of posts of Head Ophthalmic Technician in left out Districts Hospitals of Jammu Division, creation of additional post of Supervisory Ophthalmic Technician in all left out CHCs/SDH of Jammu Division.
Besides, the demand for creation of additional posts of Junior Ophthalmic Technician and Senior Ophthalmic Technician in all CHCC/SDH District Hospital and all left out Primary Health Centers of Jammu Division, and constitution of Ophthalmic Council for J&K and registration of the Cadre thereof, were also discussed threadbare.
The Director Health Services gave a patient hearing to the demands put forth by the deputation. Prominent among others who were part of the deputation were Onkar Singh, KK Gupta, Ram Raj, Kuldeep Kumar, Jatinder Kumar and Neeraj.
