JAMMU, Oct 10: J&K Accounts Employees Association (Jammu) has demanded fixation of seniority at the level of Junior Scale Accounts Officers, creation of posts in various departments, filling up of many vacant posts of Accounts Assistants and regularization of the services of I/C Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs), I/C Accounts Officers and I/C Chief Accounts Officers (CAOs).
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of its, president, Kamal Singh Pathania, the members discussed their pending issues and urged upon the State Administration to take note of the same. They said post of Accounts Assistants and Accountants are lying vacant in various Government departments and for the last over five-six years there was no recruitment at all. The Accounts employees are over burdened in many departments. The Govt must create posts and fill up the vacant positions.
They also demanded clearance of all the pending SRO-43 cases, extension of recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission in respect of J&K Accounts Subordinate Service-Class-I Assistant Accounts officer, regularization of the services of AAOs, AOs, CAOs; declaration of Accounts service as technical, up-gradation of scale/status of Assistant Programmer and Data Entry Operator who have opted to remain in Accounts and Treasuries organization and conducting of examination of ACC, SAC Part-I and II regularly.
They pointed out that the promotion of members of J&K Accounts Service has not been done for the last over eight months from AAO to AO level despite the fact that many posts were lying vacant. They demanded that stagnation in Finance Department be removed without any delay. They sought the intervention of Administrative Secretary and concerned Advisor into the matter.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included- Adarsh Sharma, Shiv Paul Singh, Sanjay Pandoh, Mehboob Choudhary, Rakesh Sharma, Rakesh Kashyap, Brij Bhushan Sharma, Kulbir Singh Ranjeev Kumar, Tejinder Pal Singh and Rajesh Sharma.
