Shiv Sena demands special package for industry

JAMMU, Oct 15: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray leaders have demanded a special package from Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to save Jammu and Kashmir industry from the financial crisis.
While addressing the media persons here today, Shiv Sena State head, Manish Sahni highlighted the problems of industrialists. He said that due to the slowdown and the delay in normalizing the situation in Kashmir after revoking the Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir Industry has almost come to a standstill. The industrial units are suffering heavy financial losses due to stoppage of supply of goods to other parts of J&K for last 70 days so it is imperative to waive off the electricity bills for three months, interest on bank loans for working capital and term Loans with the rescheduling of term loan payment , continuation of the special package being given to the industry for the next 15 years in UT status and also exemption on Income Tax for next two years as incentives to bring Jammu and Kashmir on the track of development.
Sahni further said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will have to accept the demands for Industrial sector keeping in mind that the Industry is the backbone of the State’s economy as it providing Jobs to the local peoples parallel to Government employees. He further said that if special arrangements can be made for the apple growers of Kashmir, then the industry of Jammu should not be ignored.
Sahni also appealed the Prime Minister to appoint dedicated and honest officers in the Government departments of the State to curb the corruption.
President Mehila Wing Meenakshi Chibber, Working President, Ashwani Gupta, general secretary, Vikas Bakshi, senior vice president, Surjeet Singh Chib, secretary Raj Singh and many others party leaders and industrialist were present.
