JAMMU, Oct 16: The Indian Association of Anesthesiologist, Jammu chapter today organized Continuing Medical Education (CME) in which two delegates delivered lecture on history of Anesthesia and newer modes of Anesthesia providers.
Dr Anita Vig, general secretary of the Association read the welcome address and conducted the CME.
Dr Gurmeet Singh, president of the Association, in his address, highlighted the advent of Anesthesia from Anesthesia to present mode of safe and balanced Anesthesia for the patient.
Role of anesthesiologist in providing his skill in other life saving procedures in Emergency, ICU Care, Pain Relief both in acute and chronic cases was also highlighted.
Dr. Daljit Singh, ex Head of Department of Anesthesiology ASCOMS Hospital was honoured with the life time achievement award to honour his services to Anesthesia.
Ceremonies were conducted by Dr Smriti Gulati and Dr Nandita Mehta, Head of Departments of Anesthology GMC Jammu and ASCOMS Hospital respectively.
Dr Anjali Mehta, Secretary of Association delivered a vote of thanks.
