JAMMU, Oct 17: A deputation of All J&K Pensioners and Civil Society Association, Jammu, led by the Association president S Ajit Singh, called on K K Sharma, Advisor to Governor, here today and discussed with him the State pensioners’ demands.
The deputation submitted a memorandum of demands seeking increase of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month, introducing the Mediclaim Insurance Scheme for employees and pensioners, removal of disparity in pension payments by the State Government consolidating 33, 30, 28 and 20 years qualifying service into 20 years qualifying service, release of 7th Pay Commission pension arrears to all, including 33 and 30 years qualifying service categories.
The Association also demanded removal of disparity under SRO 333 of 2018 and introduction of time bound promotion formula in favour of erstwhile GTU/J&K SRTC pensioners, consideration of application of formula number 1 and 2 in pension payments by the State Treasury Officers on interim basis and permitting to the State pensioners to submit their application forms of 7th CPC direct to AG (A&E) for issuance of their PPOs for final pension payments.
The Advisor assured the deputation to consider their just and genuine demands sympathetically at an earliest.
