KATHUA, Oct 19: In view of the BDC elections, Duggar Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) organized a special meeting, here today at the residence of Ch Lal Singh.
The meeting was attended by the CWC members, heads of all frontal organizations and active members of the party, besides numbers of Panchs and Sarpanchs of the district Kathua.
Ch Lal Singh, founder Chairman DSSP, while addressing the gathering, appealed all Panchs and Sarpanchs to maintain their unity intact and make sure that all the BDCs comes in the kitty of DSSP. He added that the ongoing election is although being conducted in the shadow of uncertainties and insecurities but still DSSP believes in all sort of democratic process and will contribute for the healthy democracy.
He alleged rampant corruption in the Rural Development Department and alleged that bureaucratic nexus was eating up the very spirit of Panchayati Raaj. He hoped that Panchs and Sarpanchs of DSSP will break this nexus and people will get a sigh of relief. He expressed hope that all candidates of DSSP will have massive victory in the BDC election.
Earlier, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, General Secretary of the party, appealed every one to gear up for a bigger fight as J&K is passing through a very crucial state and Jammu is the worse sufferer. He further said that DSSP, which came into existence for the restoration of Dogra pride, suffered another jolt by the reorganisation of the State and reducing Jammu to merely a UT.
Majority of the Panchs and Sarpanchs expressed their anguish over the recently established Toll Plazas which they called as a draconian and anti people policies of the present dispensations.
Prominent amongst others, who spoke on the occasion, included Kanta Andotra (Ex MLA), Suman Wazir, Prof H R Sharma, Dr Shubnandan, Prof Pardeep Kumar , S S Bilawaria , Ashutosh, Ashok Sharma (Corporator), Bhupinder Singh Jamwal, Rahul Sharma , Raman Gupta , Adv Sanjeet , Balbir Singh Azad , Ram Naresh, Sarpanch Daleep Singh, Rakesh Kumar ,Gourab Dubey , Ritu Bandral and Anoop Biloria.
