Two Army jawans killed in landslide in Poonch

POONCH :  Two Army jawans were killed in a  landslide in bordering Poonch district of Jammu and  Kashmir, police sources here today said.
“Jawans of 13 Raj Rifle were killed yesterday in a  landslide in village Tayyan, of tehsil Mendhar in Poonch district,” sources said.
The jawans were travelling in a water tanker and were  on way towards the forward post along the Line of Control  (LoC).
“The tanker developed a technical snag and both of them stepped down to check the fault when suddenly a boulder of landslide hit the vehicle,” police said.
They said the jawan identified as Lance Naik Harvinderpal  Singh died on the spot while another jawan Naik Varinder  Singh got critically injured and was airlifted to the  Command Hospital Udhampur but he succumbed to the  injuries.
