SAMBA, Mar 14: A free eye camp organized by Lions Club Samba at Dina Nath Memorial Hall was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh in presence of President, Lions Club Samba Inder Singh Sambyal.
A team of doctors and para-medical staff from Health Department Samba extended the services to the Club in examining and conducting the operations.
Patients from different parts of the district especially from remote areas like Sumb, Sarain, Channi Mansar, Goran and border areas were examined by the doctors in the camp. The surgical operations will be conducted in District Hospital Samba and the arrangement for pre-operation and post operation have been organized by Lions Club Samba.
District Development Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Lions Club and assured them of all possible assistance from District Administration including the medical support from the Health Department for extending services to the poor and needy persons.
Among others, vice president, Col. Mohan Singh, secretary V.K.Sharma, J.R.Thappa, B.D.Sharma officers of various departments, members of the Club and a large number of people were also present.
