JAMMU, Mar 14: Fortis Hospital Noida organized an informative seminar on “Acute management stroke” for medical professionals, here last evening.
Prominent doctors from Fortis Noida and ASCOMS Jammu spoke during the seminar which was attended by the medical fraternity of the city.
The session began with a presentation by Dr K K Pandita, senior consultant at, ASCOMS Jammu. He threw light on the medical treatment for different types of strokes and the care that needs to be taken while dealing with such cases.
Dr Rahul Gupta, Senior consultant at Neuro Surgery Department at Fortis Hospital Noida, gave a detailed presentation on the causes, symptoms and the possible surgical treatments of brain hemorrhage.
Dr Anil Dhar, consultant Neurosurgeon at Fortis Hospital narrated his personal experiences while dealing with serious cases of spinal tumors and instability. He provided insightful and vital information on Neuro science and his presentation was liked particularly by young doctors.
Some medical students posed a few questions to Dr Dhar who answered in detail.
Dr Sushil Razdan, who was chief guest at the seminar, said it was really great to see young doctors like Dr Dhar talking about innovations in surgical and peri-operative care.
The individual presentations were followed by an open house Q/A session in which doctors brainstormed on the new aspects of neurosurgery .
Dr RP Kudiyal, HoD Medicine, ASCOMS also held one-on- one with Dr Rahul Gupta . Both the distinguished doctors discussed many aspects of neurosurgery in Osteoporotic patients and pituitary tumors which was very beneficial for young doctors. They discussed about safety of these procedures.
