JAMMU, Mar 14: Displaced Employees Coordination Committee Jagti unit in a meeting today appealed the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner to issue the NOCs in favour of the migrant employees putting up at Jagti and other camps for drawal of their salaries till the issue of the power tariff is settled by the Government.
The meeting was chaired by Ashok Kaul. He said the employees were put to hardships due to non release of salaries by their respective departments for want of NOC of power bills.
Meanwhile, the inmates of Nagrota TRT have expressed concern over the failure of authorities in installing the transformer in the camp. A representative of the camp Chand Ji Khar said that a portion of TRT was without power even on Maha Shivratri due to non replacement of transformer which has developed a snag. He said despite the issue brought in the notice of concerned authorities including CE M&RE no steps were taken to restore the power to a portion of the camp.
