Illegal disbursement of land compensation: ACB produces charge-sheet

SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Anti Corruption Bureau South Kashmir has produced charge-sheet in case of illegal disbursement of compensation for land acquisition in District Pulwama.
Charge sheet in the case FIR number 42/2015 of Police Station Vigilance organization Kashmir (Now Anti Corruption Bureau Kashmir) against the accused persons, was produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Pulwama.
The case was registered on the basis of outcome of a verification conducted by ACB into the allegations pertaining to the illegal disbursement of compensation by the officers/officials of Revenue Department for four lanning of National Highway at Pulwama in favour of non-genuine Brick Kiln owners situated at Kandizaal Pulwama.
During the course of investigation, it was established that no portion of the land under use and occupation of Gousia Brick Kiln at Kandizal had come under the acquisition proceedings for the said four lanning and the said brick kiln is functional till date. The then Assistant Commis-sioner Revenue (Collector Land Acquisition National Highway four lanning District Pulwama) allowed compensation and payment in favour of Gousia Brick Kiln Kandizal to the tune of Rs 22, 04,760 by abusing and misusing his official position in connivance with the beneficiaries namely Ghulam Rasool Khan, Ghulam Mohd Khan, Mohd Yousf Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Mohd Akram Khan, and Mohd Ashraf Khan, all residents of Kandizal District Pulwama.
The charge-sheet of the case, subsequently on the completion of investigation, was accordingly produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Bureau Pulwama for judicial determination.
