1212 aspirants appear in Army’s Common Entrance Exam

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: A Common Entrance Examination for 1212 aspirants was conducted by the Army at Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Rangreth, here.
Aspirants from all over Kashmir and Kargil region who had already cleared physical and medical examination appeared for the examination for various categories like Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Soldier Technical and Soldier Nursing Assistance.
Subsequently, final merit list will be drawn as per the performance of the candidates and the short listed candidates will join the training centres for recruit training.
The aspirants coming from the far flung areas were provided food and lodging facility.
This examination was first of its kind post abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A and saw a large turnout of youth desirous to serve their country by opting for a career in armed forces.
