Shrine Board establishes Yog Centre

KATRA, Oct 29: With a view to promote Yog and meditation among the people of Katra, employees of the Shrine Board and their wards, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has established a permanent Yog Centre at Shrine Board’s Sports Complex Katra.
The Yog Centre remains open from 7 am to 8 am daily and no fee is charged from all interested persons having inclination to learn and get benefitted. Bhartiya Yog Sansthan is imparting training in the Centre.
While interacting with the resource persons, Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that the aim of Shrine Board in organising regular Yog classes is holistic development of the learners to launch a movement against obesity, diabetes, joint pain, corronariry heart diseases, mental disorders and large number of ailments the society is suffering with. He further said that through various applied methods and techniques which would be imparted under the able guidance of trained experts of the Shrine Board in Yog, people would get benefitted. Such Yog Centres are also being opened at Bhawan, Chanjichat, Adhkuwari for the staff of the Shrine Board and Yatries in near future, he added.
All facilities like Yog mats and allied material will be provided by the Shrine Board.
