SAMBA, Oct 29: Twenty-three cases were disposed off amicably by a Lok Adalat organized today at District Court Complex, Samba under the chairmanship of MA Chowdhary, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Samba.
Three Benches were constituted for the Lok Adalat. A special bench was constituted for taking up MACT and Bank cases. The bench was headed by MA Chowdhary (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Samba and assisted by Ajay Gupta (Advocate).
The second bench was headed by Ajay Gupta (CJM Samba) and assisted by Lakshmi Devi (retainer Lawyer) for taking up Cr Compoundable cases of all nature, NI Act and petty offences. The third Bench was comprised of Swati Gupta (Secretary DLSA Samba) for taking up pre-litigation matters, matrimonial cases and all other civil suits.
The representative of Banks, Insurance companies, Advocates and litigants participated in the Lok Adalat.
A total of 40 cases were taken up by the Lok Adalat, out of which 23 cases were disposed off amicably and an amount of Rs 2,07,600 was settled.
