JAMMU: At least four passengers were killed and six others injured when a passenger taxi they were travelling in hit the parapet in Jhajjar Kotli area here on city outskirts on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Thursday.
Police here said the taxi coming from Leh this morning hit the parapet on the highway near Jhajjar Kotli.
The vehicle was ferrying ten passengers, including the driver.
Four persons died on the spot while six others, including driver, suffered injuries.
“Police and locals launched the rescue operation and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu,” police added. (agencies)
