JAMMU, Nov 1: RTO Kathua Dr Raj K Thapa led teams today impose fine of Rs 10.95 lakh on the violators of traffic rules under various provisions of Motor Vehicles Act.
A total of 220 vehicles were challaned and fine imposed on them.
Some of the vehicles were challaned for violation of permit, pollution, overloading etc.
The vehicle operators were asked to follow traffic rules to avoid hefty challan amount.
The checking teams led by Dr Thapa comprised ARTO and Motor Vehicle Inspectors including Vikas Srivats, Kamal Kumar, Ravinder Kumar and Kulbushan Slathia.
