JAMMU, Nov 2: After completing tour of Kerala, Gujarat and Maharashtra to aware people about situation in J&K post-scrapping of Article 370 and 35A, BJP J&K Spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs, Ashwani Chrungoo said, focus of development in the UT of J&K will take care of areas left unattended for the last 70 years.
Speaking at a meeting here today he said that tourism has a great potential in the unexplored areas of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
“Heritage buildings, old destroyed temples, huge monuments and unattended tourist venues need to be renovated, developed and given a modern look as these developments will create a lot of opportunities for employment as well,” he maintained.
Chrungoo also said that issue of constitution of Kashmir Hindu Temples and Shrines Board is also on priority since it is considered as a prelude to the resettlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits back in the valley.
He said that after changing the nomenclature of Radio Kashmir to All India Radio, the government should now concentrate towards changing the terms KAS and KPS etc to JKAS and JKPS.
He further said that peace in J&K can be ensured only by the striking the terrorist launch pads in PoJK.
