4 killed in Pattan mishap

SRINAGAR, Nov 3: Four persons were today killed in a road mishap in Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district after a car hit a motor cycle.
The mishap took place at Hamray Pattan on the National Highway when a Tavera vehicle JK05D 3658 hit a motor cycle bearing registration number JK13 2643 at around 3 p.m.
The motor cyclist and his pillon rider were killed on the spot. They have been identified as Syed Ashiq Farooq, 30, son of Syed Farooq Ahmad of Zadoora Pulwama and Sheikh Mazoor of Singpora Pattan.
A woman identified as Haleema wife of Abdul Ahmad resident of Baramulla was also killed in the incident and a 55 year old man from Baramulla Daulat Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Qadir Khan was critically injured. He, however, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital today.
Police have registered a case (FIR 189/19 of 2019) in Police Station Pattan and driver of the vehicle has been taken into custody.
