Day 3:Educational institutions remain closed due to curfew restrictions

SRINAGAR :  Educational institutions in the Kashmir valley remained closed today due to prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley following restrictions and general strikes.
All the scheduled examinations were cancelled in the Kashmir valley, where restrictions remained imposed in the areas falling under seven police stations in the downtown and Shehar-e-Khas for the third day today to prevent any law and order problem.
All educational institutions, which reopened after winter vacation on March 11, had just two working days as there was a strike on March 13 and curfew from next morning.
Today, though there was no curfew in the uptown and civil lines, all educational institutions remained closed.
A Kashmir University (KU) spokesman said no new date for university examinations has been finalised.
All the university examinations, which were scheduled to be held today, were postponed.
Though he gave no reason for postponing the examination, the step was taken due to restrictions.
He said the new date for examinations will be communicated later.
Similarly the State Board of School Education has also postponed class 12th (private) examinations. (AGENCIES)
