One killed, 3 injured as car slips into gorge

UDHAMPUR, Nov 9: One person died and three others were seriously injured when an Alto car, carrying them, rolled down into a gorge near Kanth Gali Pancheri while in separate incidents, two dead bodies were found under mysterious circumstances near Tikri and Tirshi.
According to the reports, an Alto car bearing registration number JK14G-0806 was on its way from Pancheri to Udhampur when it met with accident near Kanth Gali after driver lost control over the vehicle, which rolled down into deep gorge. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred all of them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
One of the victims, identified as Balwan Singh (34), son of Rumal Singh of village Pathi, Pancheri, succumbed to his injuries soon after his admission at GMC Hospital Jammu. Other injured, undergoing treatment at GMC Hospital Jammu, were identified as Hem Raj (45), son of Panjabu, Ravi Kumar (25), son of Prakash Chand and Balwan (40), son of Shankar Dass, all are residents of village Pathi, Pancheri.
Meanwhile, Udhampur Police recovered two male dead bodies from Bikhn Gla, near Tikri and village Tirshi.
Laborer Krishan Lal (45), son of Faqir Chand of Pangayal, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a nallah, under the jurisdiction of Rehambal Police Station. On being informed, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur. After postmortem, the dead body was handed over to his family members. Exact cause of death could not be immediately ascertained while Rehambal Police has registered the case for further investigation.
Another dead body was recovered at village Tirshi, near Udhampur town. The deceased was identified as Om Parkash (28), son of Mir Chand of Kawa, who was found dead on the roadside. Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur and registered the case for further.
