JAMMU, Mar 16: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which was partially opened, will be thrown open for two-way traffic from March 18.
“In view of improved weather and road condition, all types of passenger vehicles and oil tankers shall be allowed to ply, both ways, on the highway from March 18,” an official spokesman here said.
He said that trucks and other heavy load carriers shall continue to observe one way traffic as the restoration work of the highway is not yet completed at few stretches.
“On March 18, trucks and other heavy goods vehicles shall ply from Jammu towards Srinagar in a routine manner,” the spokesman added.
Heavy vehicular movement of Army, BSF, CRPF and other Forces shall continue to observe one-way traffic plan till further orders, he said. (AGENCIES)
