JAMMU, Nov 11: Assistant Engineer (AE) aspirants from Jammu as well as Kashmir province here today held a meeting and expressed concern over the tentative date by Public Service Commission (PSC) for Preliminary Exams of Assistant Electric Engineer to be held on December 1, 2019.
The aspirants urged PSC to defer the exams as there has been complete shutdown of internet in J&K and they have not been able to get any study material from online and offline modes.
They also said that there is no book shop open in Srinagar as a result of which they are placed at a complete disadvantage as even the coaching facilities are not available at present.
The aspirants expected the government to have a holistic view of the situation prevailing in the UT as the prevailing atmosphere is not conducive for preparing in a free and fair manner with all available resources which are a pre-requisite for such exams.
They appealed to the Lt. Governor, G.C Murmu and Chairman PSC to postpone the AE Electric examinations and hold the same as soon as the situation becomes conducive for preparation in free and fair manner.
