Speed up work on Srinagar development projects: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Mar 16: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today asked the officers to speed up the pace of work on various prestigious projects undertaken by the Government for sustained development and beautification of Srinagar city.
The Minister was addressing officers during a review meeting convened to discuss the status of implementation of various developmental works undertaken by the Government.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and senior officers of UEED, R&B, LAWDA, PHE etc.
Mr. Sagar impressed upon the officers to work in close coordination with each other, so that a complete synergy is ensured for speeding up the pace of work on various projects. He said “that we have to ensure that they are completed within the stipulated time frame, so that the people of the city get the benefitted”.
The Minister also directed the officers to prepare a monthly status report on the developmental works, so that a close monitoring is also done on the same.
The Minister while referring to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the Government said “we have undertaken a sustained and comprehensive project for the development of Srinagar city on modern and scientific basis so that it come up as one of the model cities of the country”.
