SRINAGAR, Mar 16: An army jawan today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at a camp in Gulmarg in North Kashmir near the Line of Control.
Police sources said that Naik Yam Bahadur was on duty at the camp when he allegedly shot himself dead early today. The reason behind his action was not immediately known.
This is the second suicide of a security man in Kashmir this month. Earlier, a CRPF man had shot dead himself at the official residence of Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar in Srinagar.
