Yoga helps in maintaining distance from addictions: Baba Ramdev

UDUPI: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday said that practicing Yoga helps people distance themselves from bad habits, such as drinking and smoking and other addictions.
Speaking after inaugurating a five-day mega Yoga Camp here on Saturday, Ramdev gave tips on Yoga and emphasised the importance of Yoga to keep body mentally and physically fit as it helps in fighting disease like obesity, cancer, gas, constipation.
He said that the camp is a annual feature of the Samithi and this year, the temple town Udupi was selected for the camp.
A large number of men and women, including MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh, government employees, participated in the camp. The yoga guru also demonstrated some Asanas that keeps people healthy and helps them lead a medicine-free life. About 30,000 people are attending the camp.
