USTA delegation calls on DSE, submits memorandum

JAMMU, Nov 17: A deputation of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) met Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta in her office chamber and put forth the charter of long pending demands to her.
As per a release, the memorandum demanded suitably modification of hard hit cases of Masters & Lecturers in recent transfers and adjustments, transfer all left out Masters & Lecturers who have completed their tenure of two years to seven years in far flung areas as well as out of their district and release of pending salaries for the month of January, Feb. 2018 and arrears of 7th Pay Commission including DA arrear in favour of masters working as Head teachers.
It further demanded release of grant to clear four months and six months salary of ReTs converted to teachers grade II and III respectively and also 20 to 25 months pending salary of ReTs regularized during the year 2014 to 2017. release of grants to clear pending salaries of teachers working under NPS scheme, regularize all ReTs who have completed five years service and EVS who are working in the Department for the last 15 years, regulate In-Situ promotions in favour of under graduates teachers appointed between 1992-1997 and adjust all newly promoted lecturers at an earliest in one go.
While discussing the demands provincial president of the Association, Hari Singh appraised the Director School Education that some masters who already have served in far flung areas and out of their districts once again transferred to far flung and far away places and strongly appealed to review such orders at an earliest. He also appealed Director School Education to adjust all newly promoted lecturers according to their order in promotion list as first come first serve basis.
Moreover a large number of teachers and masters are without salaries for months together due to which their families and children are facing great financial constraints putting them under mental stress and frustration.
The Director School Education assured to address the demands at the earliest. She also gave directions to Joint Director, H R Pakhroo and Chief Accounts Officer to resolve issues immediately.
Others who were present in the deputation includes Rajeev Kumar, Roop Chand, Raj Kumar, Bli Mohd, Narinder Thakural, Ajit Kumar, Gopal Dass, Pritam Chand, Netar Chand and Ganesh Dutt.
