NSUI holds protest against suspension of internet

JAMMU, Nov 18: NSUI held protest here under the leadership of its State President Raqeeq Ahmed Khan against the suspension of internet for more than 104 days.
During the protest, the NSUI activists raised slogans in favour of their demands including 100 per cent job reservation for J&K youth, 100 per cent seat reservation for J&K students and reservation in NET for J&K youth.
While speaking, State President NSUI Jammu and Kashmir Raqeeq Ahmed Khan said that due to internet blockage the student are facing various problems regarding their studies. He warned to launch ‘Jan Andolan’ if Central Government Lieutenant Governor failed to restore internet.
“We took out the protest against the suspension of internet services, which is basic tool for students to continue their studies”, he stated.
Anuj Manhas State Vice President NSUI said that many NEET, KAS, IAS and IES aspirants fails to fill their forms due to internet ban.
Vikas Badhoria State General Secretary NSUI said due to lack of this facility the students fails to book online tickets, forms and other job forms.
Basharat Latief State Secretary NSUI said that internet is basic right of every Indian and Government is violating our right.
Anirudh Raina President Jammu University said that due to internet blockage, student community is suffering since August 5.
Among others present were Mohammad Yaseen, Akshay Sharma, Sunny Parihar, Momin Malik, Mohammad Afzar, Shubam Sharma, Asad Nawaz, Atul, Shubham, Ikhalaq, Sharukh Choudhary, etc.
