JAMMU, Nov 18: As Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is running in a heavy loss for years together, the organization has failed to pay the salaries of its employees for the month of October till date.
No salaries have been paid to hundreds of employees of the organization after September this year while the hundreds of contractual laborers known as house keepers in the parlance of BSNL are without wages for last seven months, sources said.
Besides the hired vehicles and the contractors’ working in the organization have also not been given payments for last many months due to the financial crunch faced by the organization. These laborers also struck work many times and lodged protests demanding release of their wages but to no avail, sources added.
