JAMMU, Mar 17: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today visited Rajouri and paid obeisance at Shahdra Sharief. He prayed for peace, progress, prosperity and welfare of the people of the State.
Later, the Speaker accompanied by a team of officers of district administration including District Development Commissioner, Rajouri inspected various development works under execution in the district.
During his visit, several delegations met the Speaker and projected their problems which included repairs and renovation of lanes, drains, upgradation of link roads, construction of roads, replacement of damaged poles and transformers, supply of potable drinking water and upgradation of Bus Stand at Shadra Sharief.
Mr. Gul gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned for early redressal.
He directed the District Development Commissioner to ensure essential commodities, uninterrupted power supply and potable drinking water in the district. He asked the management to ensure cleanliness in and around the shrine.
The Speaker also called for coordinated efforts among the officers of various departments to extend all possible facilities to the people of the district.
