RAMBAN, Nov 20: A man has been arrested for molesting a girl, while the gun he was carrying was also recovered.
As per police sources, on November 17 this year, a complaint was lodged by a woman hailing from village Dharalta with Police Station Batote stating that a person identified as Vivek Sehgal, son of Rajesh Sehgal of Rakh Jarog molested her daughter. The lady also alleged that the accused is carrying a 12 bore gun illegally.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 93/19 under Section 3/25 of IAA and 297 IPC was registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Batote Police Station conducted raid and arrested Vivek Sehgal along with the gun.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
