2 notorious thieves arrested

JAMMU, Nov 21: Janipur police arrested two notorious thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, on November 16 this year, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Ishan Mattoo of Durga Nagar with Police Station Janipur stating that two persons identified as Ankush and Ajay, both residents of Rehari made a call to him and asked him to deliver 2 inverters along with 2 batteries.
“When I dropped the material at the said location, Ajay and Ankush decamped with delivered items on the pretext of giving the payment”, the complainant stated.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 135/19 under section 379 RPC was registered at Janipur Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the burglars.
On specific information, a team from Janipur Police Station Inspector Naresh Sharma conducted raid and nabbed the thieves. On their disclosure, the stolen items were also recovered.
The arrested persons are notorious thieves and are wanted in different cases registered with various police stations.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
