BJP totally failed to ensure Development: Manohar

KATHUA, Nov 22: Former minister and president DCC Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while convening a meeting of party councilors and workers at Billawar blamed BJP for slow pace of developmental works in the state.
He further said that BJP leadership even failed to fulfill pre- poll promises they made to the people of the Billawar such as district status to Billawar and many more. He alleged that due to misgovernance of BJP Government, the common masses are feeling deceived. He said BJP Govt failed to address the burning issue of unemployment due to which youth of the district and the state are feeling dejected.
He requested Lt Governor J&K UT to fill up the vacant vacancies lying in various departments on priority basis to cater to the rising problem of unemployment. He stated that many projects initiated by previous Congress Government are still waiting for their completion for the past 5 years as they were totally abandoned by BJP Government.
He appealed the Lt Governor to look into the matter of regularization of teachers, daily wagers in different departments which is a long pending demand and make sure they get their pending wages released at the earliest. He said the people are now fed up with the hollow promises of BJP and have realized that Congress is the only option for country.
During the meeting councilors also apprised Dr Sharma about the shortage of funds allocation due to which they can’t carry out developmental works in their wards as desired. Shortage of water and electricity was also raised by the workers. Sharma requested the Lt Governor to give the status of District to Billawar at the earliest and also resolve the day today issues of the people of the area.
