JAMMU, Nov 23: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its chairman honoured the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof Manoj Dhar at a small function held in JU premises today.
Addressing the function the Committee members, while expressing their satisfaction over the keen interest shown by VC in developing the University expressed the hope that Prof Dhar will start new courses which are job oriented so that unemployment problems are solved to some extent.
Prof Dhar in his address said that he will leave no stone unturned and will make best efforts in making the over all development of Jammu University to make it a Model University. He also complimented the Committee for their gesture. The Committee expressed the hope that JU will touch new heights under the leadership of Prof Dhar.
Besides the prominent personalities and scholars the other members of Committee who were present in the function included Behari Lal its general secretary, Bushan Lal Cashier and Badri Nath its senior member.
